York Racecourse - Groundsperson
York Racecourse is one of the leading racecourses in the country and stages some of the best racing action in the world. Staging flat horseracing over a 17-raceday season from May to October York Racecourse also hosts a large number of other high profile events including conferences and exhibitions, trade fairs and weddings. Host to the Sky Bet Ebor Festival, York Racecourse is a multi-awarding winning venue known for its high quality racing surface, flower displays and beautiful setting.
We are seeking to recruit a new full time team member who will be integral to our small, friendly and dedicated grounds team. Assisting the Head Grounds Manager and Head Gardener with all areas of maintenance, preparation and repair of the racetrack, flower displays, lawns and surrounding estate.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A full valid UK driving licence
2. A willingness to learn and further their skills and interests in sports turf and
horticulture
3. Able to work outside, in a small team or independently
4. Experience in horticulture or sports turf maintenance preferred but not essential.
