Go Racing In Yorkshire
The Best Day Out
Racing is a great day out for the whole family and with nine fabulous racecourses spread across the county, from Beverley in the east to Wetherby and Pontefract in the west, Doncaster in the south to Redcar via Ripon, Thirsk and Catterick in the North and with York the jewel in the crown, there is nowhere in Britain to match Yorkshire for horse racing whether it is on the Flat or over jumps.
Add to the mix a multitude of successful trainers and a long list of jockeys, riding at the top of their game, first-class facilities at Jack Berry House, the rehabilitation centre for jockeys and stable staff, and the National Horse racing College, which is the first step for many joining the racing industry and facilitating the ongoing development and progression of those already involved, then it is clear to see why winners come from Yorkshire.
Dress up in your finery for the Ladies Days, enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere of family days or see your favourite bands at one of the many music nights. There are racedays to suit every mood and budget. Accompanied under 18’s can visit all race meetings for free, making horseracing the best value day out for a family.
Boasting excellent facilities and delicious catering options, there are a wealth of opportunities for business and corporate events at the races. We really have got it all in Yorkshire.
