The next meeting at Catterick on Wednesday 26th August is the final race meeting of the 2015 school summer holidays. As such there is plenty of interest for the kids with extra entertainment in the Course Enclosure including pony rides, bouncy castles, roundabout and face painters, plus a free ice cream voucher, while stocks last.
The first of seven races is at 2.10pm and the afternoon is being used to raise funds for Richard Farquhar’s undertaking of walking the courses, which is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK and Racing Welfare. Richard will be walking a circuit of Catterick before racing, before setting off on the long but picturesque walk to Cartmel in the company of illustrious racing individuals such as Oliver and Tanya Sherwood, Alan King and Luke Lillingston.
There is live music throughout the afternoon from local band Trio Gitan. As at all meetings there is a free shuttle bus running from Richmond market place
