The Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival
Sponsored by Sky Bet, the Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival takes place at the end of July. Race meetings are held over nine days, starting at Pontefract with their music night and culminating at York on Music Showcase Saturday.

9 Days of incredible racing
Representing everything that’s great about racing in Yorkshire, the week is tied together with a variety of Yorkshire themes, plus a leading trainer and jockey of the week, and a prize for the yard who win the most number of ‘best turned out horse awards’ in the Sky Bet sponsored races, during the week. There is also a prize for moment of the day, culminating in moment of the week.
The charity of the year is the Racing Welfare who support racing’s workforce. Throughout the week there will be representatives from Racing Welfare on course and they will be conducting exit collections.
Jockeys taking part in the ‘Paddock & Chips’ football competition throughout the week will also be raising funds for Racing Welfare. Before racing starts they will be showing off their football skills and have five shots at goal. Each goal scored will add to the charity’s tally.
The 2025 festival takes place from Friday 18th July to Saturday 26th July. Tickets can be purchased from racecourse websites.
It is the perfect way to visit Yorkshire’s racecourses, looking at the differences between them all but guaranteed to be given a fantastic Yorkshire welcome at every single one of them!
