Families are welcomed with FREE admission for accompanied children aged 17 years and under. There’s also lots of free entertainment for children on Feature Meetings.

Ticket Options

Redcar has two enclosures which both boast trackside viewing:

Grandstand Enclosure

The grandstand enclosure gives access to all areas of the racecourse. It offers access to the Parade Ring and Winners’ enclosure with a wide range of bars, restaurants and caterers. There is no dress code and prices begin at £13 when booked using the early bird deal.

Course Enclosure

AKA The Family Enclosure, it offers great value for money.

Located in the centre of the track it gives great views of the racing as well as a playground for the children. Picnics are welcome, including alcohol which is limited to personal consumption.

Food and drink facilities are available.

Prices begin at £5 when using the early bird deal.

Take advantage of great discounts when booking early bird and advance tickets. For local residents, the TS£10er ticket offers mid-week racing in the grandstand enclosure for just £10 for those with a TS postcode. These must be booked at least 10 days before the raceday and proof of TS address will be required at the turnstile.

Discounts are available for students, blue light card holders and OAPs and Children U18 race free.

The Racecourse Experience
Choose from a wide range of bars, restaurants and catering outlets for all tastes and budgets.

Private boxes are available in the Petch Stand and can accommodate between eight and 16 guests. Floor to ceiling windows give unobstructed views of the Straight Mile and Winning Post. There are three hospitality packages available, a formal dining package, a buffet option or platters.

The Crows Nest Restaurant offers a trackside viewing table for the day, delicious three course meal and convenient betting facility. Children are welcome and the package must be booked in advance.

The Voltigeur Restaurant situated on level 2 of the Petch Stand is a walk in restaurant, with a two course special at every meeting (apart from Ladies’ Day, which must be booked)

The Malton, Middleham and Zetland bars as well as a food court and vending vans can be found in the Grandstand and Paddock enclosure.

In the Course Enclosure you will find food and drink facilities and picnics are welcome.

Both cash and card is accepted on the gate and there is free parking onsite for both enclosures.

The racecourse opens 2 hours before the first race.

Redcar Central Station is the closest train station.

There was racing on the beach at Redcar until 1870, before racing began on the present site two years later.

Lord Zetland, the chairman of the racecourse instigated the Two-Year-Old Trophy (first held in 1989), a Listed race for juveniles held on the first Saturday in October and one of the UK’s richest races for two-year-olds.
