EASTER FAMILY DAY LAUNCHES CATTERICK’S 2026 FLAT SEASON

Catterick Racecourse is set to kick off its 2026 Flat season on Wednesday 8 April with an Easter Family Day, the first of 17 exciting Flat fixtures scheduled for this year.

Under 18’s can enjoy free entry at all Catterick’s race days, but at four family days and throughout the summer holidays, there’s even more in store for the next generation of racing fans, with free children’s entertainment on offer alongside the racing action.

On Wednesday 8 April, young racegoers can enjoy a variety of Easter-themed activities alongside seven thrilling races, including side stall games such as ‘Find the Chick’ and ‘Egg in a Bucket,’ as well as an Easter Egg Hunt. Families can also make the most of their day with free face painting, plus a Helter-Skelter slide and bouncy castle, all located in the Course Enclosure for extra entertainment.

A highlight for children will be the search for the Golden Egg, which gives its finder the chance to win an Easter Egg plus tickets to one of Catterick’s other family days taking place on 22 July, 4 August, or 17 August.

Emma Stevenson, General Commercial Manager, commented, “Our Easter Family Day is always one of the most enjoyable fixtures of our year, and it’s wonderful to welcome the next generation of racegoers to Catterick – the perfect way to launch what promises to be an exciting Flat season! We recommend booking in advance for the best value and remember that under‑18s go free.”

The gates will open to the public at 12 noon, with a seven-race card to enjoy throughout the afternoon. The first race starts at 2:13pm, and the last race is scheduled for 5:38pm. During the day, presentations will be made to Catterick’s 2025 Flat Season’s Champion Owner Mrs SJ Easterby, Champion Trainer Tim Easterby, and Champion Jockey Sean Kirrane.

Other highlights this Flat season include the return of the Catterick Beer Festival Race Day in partnership with The Pennine Brewing Co. on Saturday 30 May, Ladies’ Day and additional family days in July and August, and the feature race of the season – the Catterick Dash on Saturday 17 October.

Tickets and hospitality for all Catterick’s 2026 Flat fixtures are now on sale, with advance admission starting from just £8. All racegoers will receive complimentary racecards on arrival.

Hospitality options are available in the popular Winning Streak Restaurant and in the Private Suites, with packages and menus to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets, from two-courses in the restaurant to luxury four-course dining in a private suite.

New for the 2026 Flat season is the Horseshoe Package, created to offer both excellent value and convenience. The package includes Grandstand & Paddock admission, a racecard, and the Dish of the Day from the newly developed Horseshoe Café Bar, from just £26.

Advance and group discounts apply to online and telephone bookings made at least 48 hours before gates open. Concessions are available for racegoers aged 65+, students, and military personnel. Accompanied under‑18s are admitted free of charge.
