Music Live 2015 continues on Saturday 1st August during the Unsion sponsored raceday that will feature 7 quality flat races over the hallowed Town Moor turf. Gates will open at 11.30am ahead of the first race at 1.45pm. The most valuable race on the card will see horses rated 81-100 battle it out to win the £19,000 total prize fund in The Unison Campaigning For Public Services Handicap Stakes (81-100). The first race, The Unison Essential Cover Wherever You Work Maiden Stakes, allows 2 year old maidens qualify with the Plus 10 Scheme to have the chance to grab a bonus of up to £10,000 if they win on top of the prize money.

Following the last race at 5.15pm, household names Jo Whiley and Vernon Kay will each perform live DJ sets on the Hallam FM Champagne Lawn. They will play 90 minute sets each until 8.30pm. Jo Whiley has become radio royalty with a career spanning more than 20 years. She joined Radio 1 in 1993 presenting numerous shows and conducting interviews with some of the biggest names in the music world before moving to Radio 2 to present her own evening show in 2011. Vernon joined Radio 1 in 2006 and presented a weekly slot until he left the station in 2012.A TV regular, Vernon has hosted a variety of shows for both BBC1 and ITV1.

The star of one of Yorkshire’s most well-known films is set to make an appearance to coincide with a county’s annual day of celebration. David ‘Dai’ Bradley, who played the role of Billy Casper in the critically acclaimed 1969 film Kes will be making a special guest appearances for a celebration of Yorkshire Day. David Bradley’s appearance is part of the Celebrity Series, organised by MW Entertainments and sponsored by Evans Halshaw, which is raising funds for Help for Heroes.
