Mexborough’s Constant Security is looking to add to its events team for the busy and exciting season ahead.

Security is more than just the traditional stereotype. There are diverse roles in areas like crowd management, customer service and animal welfare.

Over the last 40 years, Constant Security has built strong partnerships with some of the region’s finest racecourses. They also provide security at some major agricultural shows like the Great Yorkshire Show, with a reputation for ensuring the smooth running of each event.

All work is flexible to fit around your existing commitments. Many of the events management team are retired professionals looking to keep busy and top up earnings. There is no upper age limit but most of the events require long periods of standing.

For those starting out on their career paths, these are great CV-boosting experiences. Joining the events management team is also an excellent route into the business, with many departments such as manned security, remote monitoring, mobile response, and head office functions that the right candidates can progress to.

They also provide many opportunities to veterans and the military community. They are a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and last year they were awarded the prestigious ‘Silver’ status as part of the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme.

As well as being a familiar company in the local area, Constant Security are key players in the national security structure. Managing director, Sarah, whose parents started the company in 1985, sits on the Security Industry Authority’s strategy and standards committee, working with the Home Office to advise on future developments within the national security picture.
