What is your background/introduction to racing? I was born into racing as my Father Malcolm began his training career the year I was born. I started riding out at the age of 12 on a weekend and in holidays. I rode as an amateur jockey to see what being a jockey was like and was lucky enough to represent GB in the Fegentri series in 2010 finishing 2nd.

Favourite horses either currently in training, you’ve previously trained or seen in your lifetime. My favourites are Cumbrian Knight who I rode my first winner on. I got ride of the day as racing was abandoned after the second race due to snow!  Cyrus Darius who was the first winner I trained in my own name when he won The Morbattle Hurdle at Kelso. Black Ivory and Waiting Patiently who were the last two winners I trained in dads name and gave him an across the card double on the day at Warwick and Kempton ridden by Jamie Hamilton and Brian Hughes respectively

Which jockeys do you regularly use? Jamie Hamilton and Henry Brooke

Three horses to follow this season and why
